Talking of Cat and dog friendship can be a bit of debate for some but watching them together sets a true example of unique friendliness amongst two opposite breads. The Other day I stumbled upon one such happening in and around our local mart – the scene turns out to be a total eyeopener for once , no one can think of a Cat sitting undisturbed by motley of crown passing by or by the presence of a mongrel sitting almost beside her as if he is on guard!
The Cat and the dog game
continues to galore many – the mart is full of hilarity of situation. The feline
is an experience to watch, their friendship is par excellence. They both meet
on common grounds – outside a meat shop, impervious to the presence of many who
are more interested in watching the duo cohabiting, rather than buying meat.
The pussycat gives a damn to the
lovable canine and both enjoy their newfound relationship which stands open to all.
Kids coming to the mart take a special note of the two opposites – in textbooks
their teachings go haywire as they have been bred the animosity of Cat and a
Dog!
Questioning accompanying parents
becomes the norm of the day, though their questions are valid but as a inquisitive
food for thought comes to anyone’s mind – why are they not fighting? What binds
them together? A past karma or a commonality of stack of meat leftovers which
is thrown at them by the shopkeeper at the end of business day, which they eat
with equal sumptuousness’.
Their friendship is cynosure of
eyes for all, whosoever visits the market for his own purpose- one cannot take
his eyes of this one of a lifetime sight!
An occasional “Meows” from the kitten
is noticed with great aplomb as if she is smitten by our presence - the cat is
not horrified by passerby and sits quite comfortably as if she is the queen of
the pathway. Her truly black skin with contrasting yellow eyes makes her a
truly majestic feline – it gives her a royal look. The way she sits and accommodates
herself is a wonder to watch – as if she hardly cares for the dog – her best
companion on road.
The pussy cat rules the roost in the market and roams around freely without any hindrance or threat to her existence, she has a proper ‘Backup’ and support in terms of the mongrel who is always in close vicinity – They both cuddle and play games to their own delight oblivious to any other presence – for us all this is a dream of its own kind – may their friendship remains as it is and they be playful and happy as they ever are!
